Welcome to Motiv8tionally Speaking, a platform where I share my journey of overcoming mental challenges. In 2013, I was deployed to Afghanistan, and it was during this time that I started writing motivational notes to myself to combat anxiety. I want to help others find their motivation in the face of adversity. Through my speeches and workshops, I offer a unique perspective on finding inner strength and resilience. My personal experiences have allowed me to connect with individuals on a deeper level and provide practical advice and tools. If you’re looking for someone to help motivate you, speak about life, and be the best version of yourself, look no further than motivational speaking.

Understanding that calm, peace, and quiet are not merely states of being, but powerful tools to prevent escalation into negativity, can be a profound realization. Such awareness brings to light the grace that envelops us, often unnoticed. Calmness is not just a response; it's a deliberate choice to rise above ignorance. Quietness is an act of strength, choosing to ignore the chaos of meaningless rants. Peace, then, becomes an elevated state of understanding, often beyond the grasp of many.

The essence of humanity is beautifully reflected in the choice to prioritize one's own spiritual and moral growth over the fleeting satisfaction of others. This journey towards self-realization marks a significant milestone — the ability to respect others' choices while confidently making decisions that are beneficial for all. In this journey, gratitude becomes a constant companion, reminding us of the strength and resolve we carry into every interaction.

In a world where fatigue often blinds people to alternatives, allowing a higher wisdom to guide those around us can be a source of liberation.

This approach helps in transcending the traps of anger, the need to be right, and the misguided entitlement to mistreat others. Ultimately, the true test of letting go versus caring is found in the silent hope that others recognize the depth of our unconditional love and the sacrifices made in its name. This enlightened perspective brings a deeper understanding of relationships and our role in them, fostering a more compassionate and empathetic worldview.

Romans 12:2 (NIV): “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Three points to drive the message home based on this verse:

1. Embrace Transformation Over Conformity: Just as the verse encourages not conforming to worldly standards, one should seek personal growth and spiritual development. This transformation is an ongoing process of renewing the mind, allowing individuals to rise above negativity and ignorance, and to choose reactions that reflect inner peace and wisdom.

2. Discernment of Higher Will: The verse speaks of understanding God’s will, which aligns with the idea of making decisions that are not only beneficial for oneself but also for the greater good. In every interaction, one should seek to discern a higher purpose, guiding their actions towards what is morally and spiritually right, rather than what is merely satisfying or convenient.

3. Pursuit of Good, Pleasing, and Perfect Will: The final outcome of this transformation and discernment is aligning with God’s will, which is described as good, pleasing, and perfect. This involves a journey of self-discovery and spirituality where one’s actions are driven by unconditional love, empathy, and a deep understanding of humanity. It’s about making sacrifices that go beyond personal satisfaction and aiming for a greater sense of harmony and peace with others.

Ephesians 6:12 (NIV): “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Three points to drive this message home:

1. Recognize External Influences: Just as the ants in the jar were influenced by an external force, we must be aware of how external influences, like media or societal pressures, can impact our thoughts and actions towards others.

2. Foster Understanding and Compassion: Before reacting, it’s important to seek understanding and empathy. Acknowledge that others may have different perspectives shaped by their unique experiences and backgrounds.

3. Promote Unity and Peace: Focus on building bridges rather than walls. Recognizing our common humanity helps in overcoming divisions and working together for a greater good.

The MenUStree

We all chose a Judas before. Yes! We choose the people who betray us, but we should not make the same mistake twice. There are no second chances with the same type of person, with the same characteristics or the same level of tolerance. We should learn from our mistakes and not let our emotions guide our decisions. Our choices should be based on experience and not on external pressure. We should forgive ourselves and hold the betrayers accountable, but we should also remember that they never cared enough not to hurt us.

Scripture Context: Luke 22:48: “But Jesus said to him, ‘Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?’” This verse directly addresses betrayal and recognizing a traitor’s true nature.

Points to focus on:

  1. Awareness of True Intentions: Like Jesus recognizing Judas’ betrayal, we must be alert to the true intentions of those around us. This awareness helps us discern sincerity from deception in our relationships.

  2. Learning from Past Betrayals: Just as Judas’ betrayal was pivotal, our own experiences with betrayal should be learning points. By reflecting on these experiences, we can make more informed choices in the future, avoiding those who exhibit similar detrimental traits.

  3. Balancing Forgiveness and Wisdom: While forgiveness is a virtue, it does not require us to repeat the same mistakes. We should forgive to free ourselves from bitterness and use our experiences to make wiser choices, ensuring we don’t fall prey to the same patterns of betrayal.
