Welcome to Motiv8tionally Speaking, a platform where I share my journey of overcoming mental challenges. In 2013, I was deployed to Afghanistan, and it was during this time that I started writing motivational notes to myself to combat anxiety. I want to help others find their motivation in the face of adversity. Through my speeches and workshops, I offer a unique perspective on finding inner strength and resilience. My personal experiences have allowed me to connect with individuals on a deeper level and provide practical advice and tools. If you’re looking for someone to help motivate you, speak about life, and be the best version of yourself, look no further than motivational speaking.

"Make 2024 the year where you take control of your emotions, relationships, and boundaries. Motivationally Speaking is a great resource that provides words of encouragement. We all benefit from the support of like-minded individuals and by building communities, we can connect with others and make the most of every moment in life. Let's come together and create a network that empowers us all to live our best lives."

It's important to be mindful of the amount of energy you expend when dealing with people who lack emotional intelligence. These individuals may try to push your buttons in order to control or manipulate your reactions, with the aim of keeping you in their orbit while they hold out hope that you'll see the good in them. Your compassion may lead you to give them another chance, even though they don't deserve it. Remember, forgiveness is the key to true reconciliation, not simply reacting to their behavior. You are responsible for your own actions, words, and the relationships you build - whether they promote growth or merely enable failure. Be a source of support for one another, offering guidance, accountability, and a safe haven in times of need. Avoid becoming predictable and using hurtful words as weapons. Choose instead to foster compassion, empathy, and understanding.

Scripturual Context: Proverbs 17:27 (NLT) "A wise man keeps it brief and maintains his composure."

  1. Choose Words Wisely: This verse reminds us that smart guys don't talk endlessly. When dealing with individuals, especially those with low emotional intelligence, using concise language can help avoid unnecessary conflicts and keep things straightforward.

  2. Stay Calm and Collected: It also encourages us to remain composed. When facing situations with people who may try to provoke emotional reactions, it's essential for men to maintain their cool. Keeping emotions in check demonstrates maturity and strength.

  3. Listen Actively: To be a wise and composed man, be an attentive listener. Those with low emotional intelligence may have unexpressed concerns or issues. By being a good listener, you create a safe environment for them to open up, potentially improving your connection and fostering growth in your relationships.

The month of August brought unbearable suffering to our family. The tragedy of domestic violence claimed the life of a cherished family member, leaving an irreplaceable void that continues to haunt us. Even as a young child, I was exposed to the heart-wrenching abuse my mother endured, subjected to the toxic dynamics of their relationship.

Let me be unequivocal - violence against anyone, particularly against women, is a reprehensible and indefensible act. I have personally endured the torment of being a victim, experiencing physical pain, emotional scars, and the loss of cherished possessions. It is paramount to understand that no explanation or justification can ever validate such conduct. We must also acknowledge that hoping for change is often a futile pursuit.

My most fervent wish is that this podcast, created during November's Domestic Violence Month, serves as a beacon of hope for those ensnared in abusive relationships. Recognize the warning signs, summon the courage to break free, seek therapy, and embark on a journey of healing. Together, we possess the power to effect change and ensure that no one else endures the anguish that befell my family in August. Your actions have the potential to save lives and spare others from the suffering we endured. I implore you to watch this video for valuable insights and support in identifying these warning signs before it's too late. Your involvement can make a profound difference in someone's life.

Fast Forward to the 13:35 mark and enjoy.
